Nan Chiau High School has embarked on the School Family Education (SFE) Programme since 1 April 2009. This programme is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Community, Youths and Sports (MCYS).
SFE aims to provide information, skills , and support to parents in the total development of their children through talks and workshops on Parenting skills and Social-recreation activities for enhancing family life.
SFE adopts a holistic family learning model - equipping parents with effective parenting skills and training them to be parent facilitators, helping school staff to enhance their family life, and providing students with life skills training.
The parent-child relationship has much impact on the child's academic achievements and positive attitudes/behaviour, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic/racial background or parents' education level.
If your child is studying in Nan Chiau High School, you would like to be included in our mailing list for future SFE events and activities, please send an email to nchs.sfe@gmail, stating your name, email address, contact no., your child’s name & class.
We hope you can benefit from our SFE programmes for a more enriching life.

SFE Library
Our collection of Self-Improvement, Self-Development, Parenting and Family-Related books in our SFE Library, which is in the Family Resource Room (Alumni Room, Ground Floor). Though the collection is not many, you can find one for everyone at home, for yourself, your husband/wife and also for your children of different age group.
Due to the limited number of books we have currently, borrowing of books are open to our NCHS PSG members only. Each PSG member is allowed to borrow up to a maximum of 2 books for a period of 3 weeks.
SFE Library opens with effect from April 2011.
PSG members are welcome to drop in to borrow books from our SFE Coordinator or 'Volunteered PSG Member(s)'. Share with other parents about the book(s) which you have read and of course, networking with each other.
Hope to see you soon in our library! :)
